English at school-1

We started with the English way of greeting somebody, as compared to other ways in different countries, thanks to several kids in our class.

We learned how to greet our neighbour in the morning, in the afternoon and at night.

Then came singing-time : we listened twice to the song by the Beatles "Hello, Good bye !" and tried to pick up some words.

The teacher gave us the lyrics and we had to underline "good bye" and "hello" in two different colours. It was then much easier to listen to the song and to start singing. And it was fun to understand it wasn’t a real conversation...

Our job was to write down a mock-conversation between those two characters "You say ..., I say ..." (the opposite). Next time we’ll play it.
